SELL YOUR VEHICLE IN OUR NEXT AUCTION
Did you know that it only costs an individual $50 to sell their vehicle at Powell Auction? The deadline for bringing a vehicle to be sold is the Thursday before the auction at 12:00PM – Noon (ET); however, we recommend that sellers get their vehicle(s) to be sold to our facility as soon as they can before the auction. We want to have the greatest amount of time to market and advertise your vehicle prior to the auction. Powell Auto Auction wants to ensure you get the top dollar for your vehicle(s).

All bidders are required to make a $500.00 cash deposit for bidding approval for both live and online bidding until you are an established customer. Dealers can setup a permanent account.
The publicized Buyer’s Premium fee, applicable sales tax, and a $15.00 doc fee (to cover title preparation and a 30-day drive-out tag) will be added to all vehicle purchases.
Payment to be cash (U.S. currency), cashier’s check, personal check with certified bank approval letter, or wire transfer. An approved check may be written with a bank letter of guarantee specifying that the check is good for the exact day of the auction. No credit card payments will be accepted as payment for purchasing a vehicle. If you are obtaining financing for a vehicle, we must speak with the lender by the Friday before the auction by 5:00PM (ET).
Vehicle titles will be ready for pickup (local buyers) or sent in the mail (out of area buyers) on the Thursday following the sale.
Buyers please remember that it is the Buyers’ responsibility to view & inspect the vehicles and verify all information to their satisfaction prior to bidding. Powell Auction does not own the vehicles being sold. Auctioneer will announce the information that we know on each vehicle. We want each buyer to have a great experience at Powell Auto Auction. PLEASE read the attached Auction Rules & Regulations BEFORE bidding.
Based on Tennessee Law, the Auctioneer reserves the right to bid on behalf of the vehicle owner up to any reserve price set on the vehicles being sold. All items are sold with reserve unless otherwise noted.

For all onsite purchases, payment is due in full the day of the sale. Failure to make payment will result in being banned from Powell Auction & Realty and the loss of the Bidder’s $500.00 cash deposit. No vehicle(s) will be allowed to leave the auction premises without full payment.
A 3% fee will be added to the purchase price of all vehicles purchased online. All out of state bidders and new bidders registering to bid online must submit a bank letter of guarantee (a sample letter may be viewed in the “Important Information” section on this webpage) to our office by 5:00PM (ET) on the Friday before the auction in order to receive bidding approval. No online bidders will be approved on Saturday mornings.
All online buyers must pay for any vehicle(s) purchased before 12:00PM – Noon (ET) on the Monday following the auction. If vehicle(s) are not paid for by that time, a late payment fee of $100.00 (per vehicle) will be added for each day that the payment is not received. Failure to make payment will result in being banned from Powell Auction & Realty and the loss of the Bidder’s $500.00 cash deposit. No vehicle(s) will be allowed to leave the auction premises without full payment.
GREEN LIGHT VEHICLES
On all vehicles sold as “GREEN LIGHT”, the buyer will have 2 hours after the last car sells, the day of the auction only, to check the vehicle out. IF there is a problem, it must be concerning the engine or transmission only and be a repair cost of $600.00 or more.
RED LIGHT VEHICLES
On all vehicles sold as “RED LIGHT”, ALL are sold and purchased “AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH ALL FAULTS” and are NON-REFUNDABLE – ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
