Rev. Dr. Jones and his wife, Elizabeth, shared a lifetime of faith, service, education and collecting.  Together, they formed a remorable partnership, working side by side in ministry, music and a shared passion for history, art and antiques.

Rev. Dr. Jones was a WWII veteran, who served as a sergeant in General George S. Patton’s Army and survived almost a year as a prisoner in a Nazi P.O.W. camp.  Following the war, he pursued a life of scholarship and faith, earing advanced degrees, including a PhD in music theory and served as an Episcopal Priest.  Throughout these accopmplishments, Elizabeth remained his steadfast partner, sharing in their ministry and service work across Florida, Virginia and Tennessee.  They retired to Elizabeth’s home of Jefferson City, TN.  Elizabeth’s family lineage includes several notable East TN figures; General William Brazelton of New Market, Dr. I.M. Tittsworth of Jefferson City, Dr. Earl Fields and Dr. R.M. McCown.  Their family’s legacy of service, leadership and community involvement was reflected throughout their lives.

This estate represents more than a collection.  It reflects the lives of two people who were true partners in every sense of the word, they shared dedication to faith, learning, service and collecting which created a legacy that is evident thoughout this extrodinary auction.  This auction gives you, the bidder, a unique opportunity to acquire treasures from this distinguished East TN Estate built over a livetime together!!

15% Buyers Premium plus 3% convienence fee for Credit/Debit Card. This will be a credit/debit card ONLY auction!! There is no sales tax on this auction. All items at the home that need to be shipped will be shipped by third party shippers.  We STRONGLY recommend you to get a pre-auction shipping quote prior to bidding. Contrary to popular believe, shipping is NOT cheap.  The shippers will charge a pickup fee for this auction due to its distance from Knoxville.  While we try to identify any chips, cracks or breaks we find, we may not find them all with as much glass as is here, we are bound not to find a few chips.  Please plan to attend preview so you can check everything out yourself.  ALL registrations must be submitted no later than 5:00pm EDT on Monday, July 13.  If you attempt to register after the auction has started to end, there is a very good chance you will not be approved in time to have your bid count.  DO NOT Wait, register early.  There is no cost to register and not bid.  It will only save you time and heartache.  If you have a negative Hibid score, please do not waste your time registering for this auciton, you will not be approved.

Take I-40 East and take Exit 394 Highway 11E (Ashville Hwy).  Turn Left and travel thru Strawberry Plains and New Market to Jefferson City.  Once in Jefferson City, just past the Hwy. 92 Dandridge Hwy., you will turn Left on Russell Ave. Then Left again on W. Ellis St.  The home will be on the Left at 721 W. Ellis St., Jefferson City, TN 37760
